Our firm will usually handle personal injury files on a percentage basis.
The amount of the percentage will be agreed to prior to commencement of work on the file.
Our percentage does not escalate as the case proceeds through the various stages of litigation and towards Trial.
We only get paid when we receive money for your claim. If we are not successful in obtaining monies for you,
you have no obligation to pay us, either for the time we have spent working on the file or for the expenses
that we have paid out to run the file.
Unless otherwise advised, we will pay for all legal expenses necessary to run the litigation. Legal expenses
include the cost of medical/legal reports, the cost of filing a Statement of Claim, amounts paid for Discovery
transcripts, the charges of the Plaintiff’s expert witnesses and various miscellaneous expenses.
Our firm does not pay for medical treatment costs, but we will assist you in pursuing payment for those charges
from the insurance companies or other sources.
