Duane
E. Russell
is the founder and a partner of Russell & Company. Born and raised in
Edmonton, he won sportsmanship and citizenship awards in high school.
Attending at the University of Alberta, he obtained a Bachelor of
Arts degree with majors in political science and Canadian history, and then
went on to obtain his Bachelor of Laws degree.
He was the winner of the James Burgess Memorial Prize at the U of A
Law School, and articled at the Edmonton law firm of Parlee McLaws.
He has written numerous papers on subjects dealing with personal
injury and has a regular column in The Barrister Magazine, as well as being
the publisher of the looseleaf service "Quantum of Damages in Alberta
Whiplash Cases." He is a
sustaining member of the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association and a
member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
He has acted as a director for a number of charitable organizations
dedicated to the interests of physically disabled individuals.
Personal interests include business management, investments, golf and
travel. His practice is generally limited to injuries sustained from
accidents involving motor vehicles
